Since this is our opening round, we figured we could use a CR meme. And since you're all coming in together...why not roll it together with an intro post? Fill out the form below and say hi to anyone else you see!
Our first event log will go up June 5th and further explore some elements introduced on our TDM, namely the split dimensions and mirrors. However, you can post your own entries before then. Don't let your dreams be dreams.
Also, while our first activity check is still a way off, we wanted to let everyone know ahead of time: For our first month, you can submit any threads from our current TDM as bonus activity, as long as they meet all other criteria besides date. This means you can use comments from May, as well as June. Think of it as a housewarming gift!

CHARACTER.
NAME: William Nolastname
CANON: Westworld (early s1) + CRAU from
LANGUAGE: English. He also speaks, uh, bird. If you happen to play a bird.
TL;DR:
RUNDOWN: William feels like he's been here for weeks and weeks, so he's kinda desperate for human contact of any kind (though not desperate enough to respond to Eliot's attempts at flirtation). He's not as freaked out as he should be by the setting, which he finds deeply, deeply fascinating—he managed to cut open a mirror and discovered A WATCHFUL ABYSS behind it (and didn't immediately run away screaming because ??????). But yeah, he's super easy to approach right now—just hearing another voice would make him happy, and if your character wanted to compare notes about weird shit, so much the better. It's only a matter of time before he starts making more questionable decisions in order to delve into the ~mysteries~ of the setting, so if your char would either enable or shut that shit down, they'd likely be a good match.
OFFERED CR: Oh boy. William has years of practice being a wet blanket, so if you want someone to try and ruin your character's fun (or at least judge and maybe lecture them), he's your guy. In his previous game he was surrounded by a lot of badass military types (because...it was a war game), and got used to being the Lone Person Who Is Semi-Comfortable With Expressing Human Emotions (despite being kind of repressed himself, fucking lol)—I'm definitely down for more of that, or if you wanted to flip it on its head and have your character shock him with their emotional intelligence, please. (He's Sad about his girlfriend, and I apologize in advance because even if he doesn't mention it outright, I guarantee it will come up.)
And as alluded to above, William is really into weird shit. If your character is weird, bring it on. Bonus points if their weirdness includes some altered perception of the world—basically, William is obsessed with meaning, systems of meaning, and what constitutes reality. He's also very observant and a good listener, so if you want someone who'll pick up on the nuances of your character, he's a good candidate (also if he thinks someone's hiding something from him, he tends to keep picking at them).
DESIRED CR: I love playing William off people who challenge him in some way—whether it's intellectually, morally, hell, even physically. This can mean a character encouraging or demanding more of him in a good way, or just straight-up fighting with him. He can be surprisingly ruthless and spiteful if the stakes are high enough/if you play your cards wrong (or right?? idk what y'all are into).
He also l o v e s stories—if you play a character with the gift of gab or a colorful existence, he'd be extremely pleased to hear them talk about their world. Philosophical discussions are dope as well.
OH AND THIS IS SUPER NICHE but if your character has ever died, so has William!!! And he is weirdly ok talking about it, if that is something you're interested in working toward.
